Our next market is going to be huge as it is to be held in conjunction with our Naturally New Age Festival on Sunday October 25 – commencing 9am and finishing at 3pm.
Normally our Farmers Markets are from 9am until 1pm but this time it will be extended due to the nature of the festival.
Last year we had over 65 stalls at our festival as well as 8 stalls at our inaugural Farmers Market.
Today we have 12 stallholders who come on a regular basis including Harcourt Apples, Coopers Pies, Red Neds Wines, Hercotts Naturally (goats milk soaps), Wattlebee Herbs, Wedderburn Community House sauces/preserves, Bushtrack Bee Honey, Les Smith Plants, Dunolly Garlic, Hard Hill Eucy, Chook Tucker (live poultry), The Chocolate Man and Borung Poultry. SNOWFLAKE and Buttercup won’t be there, but they’ll have a certain presence when the Wedderburn Farmers Market returns later this month.
Sharon and Paul Hercott, from Pyramid Hill, who are back at the market after their debut appearance in May, have been milking their two Saanen goats for the past three years.
“I make goats’ milk and olive oil soap, mainly unscented, along with six varieties of scented bars including sandalwood and patchouli, lemon verbena and spice,” Sharon said.
“We also keep our own beehives and sell honey and plan to take some of that to Wedderburn this month, too. Continue reading
