We had a great Festival at the House last Wednesday 18 December. Around 100 students from Wedderburn College braved the hot conditions to come and see the best Santa ever!
He spent time with every child asking them what they were going to do over the holidays etc which made them all feel special, as well as giving them all a gift.
He was so good that bookings were being circulated before he had left the premises to return to cooler conditions back at the Pole. Board Members John, Brian and Bob cooked a wonderful BBQ and plenty of cold drinks were dispersed on the day.
Thanks to Sue, Bill and Juanita Foreman for their magnificent music. How lucky are we to have such talented musicians willing to give their time to the community. Our volunteers did a great job on the day, Bev was kept busy with plant and sauce sales as you can see in the pic. Also Susie “Cakes for a Date” has been very busy Christmas cooking for the festival. Thank you Susie, the feedback from the people has been tremendous.
We thank FaHCSIA for sponsoring yet again another event whereby ALL members of our community can attend at no cost. We want all our community members to come to events held at the Community House, after all it is YOUR House!
The Staff & volunteers would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas & a safe and happy New Year.
